Hiporhamin
Hyporamine is prescribed as early as possible in the course of the disease. The highest therapeutic effect is achieved by combining dosage forms of hyporamin with general resorptive and local action.
For influenza, adenovirus, respiratory syncytial or other viral infections of the upper respiratory tract, the following are prescribed: sublingual tablets of 0.02 g; suppositories of 0.05 g (adults) and suppositories of 0.03 g (children); lyophilized hyporamin 0.02 g, which is used in the form of an aqueous solution prepared ex tempore by adding sterile distilled water to a bottle in a volume of 10 ml (to obtain a 0.2% solution) or 20 ml (to obtain a 0.1% solution).
Sublingual tablets are used to sanitation the oral cavity, for which they are kept in the mouth until they are completely absorbed. In this case, adults are prescribed 1 tablet 4-6 times a day, children over 12 years old - 1 tablet 3-4 times a day, children from 3 to 12 years old - 1 tablet 2-4 times a day, depending on age. Children under 3 years of age are treated with suppositories once a day without sublingual tablets.
Inhalation hyporamin is administered using various inhalation devices (U-1, Ultrasound-70, AI-1, etc.): adults - 0.2% aqueous solution up to 10 ml per inhalation; children - 0.1% aqueous solution: older children - up to 10 ml per inhalation, young children - up to 5 ml per inhalation.
In the presence of rhinitis, a 0.2% solution of 4-6 drops is instilled into each nasal passage for adults, 4-6 drops 3-4 times a day, for children - a 0.1% solution of 2 to 4 drops (depending on age) 2-3 times a day.
Duration of treatment: for influenza, at least 3 days. For parainfluenza, RS-viral, adenoviral, mixed infections and other acute respiratory viral infections - at least 5 days.
For individual prevention during an influenza outbreak, sublingual hyporamin tablets, per rectum suppositories and nasal drops are used according to the same schemes.
For chickenpox, herpes zoster, herpesvirus and cytomegalovirus infections, as well as other viral lesions of the skin and mucous membranes, the following are used: sublingual tablets of 0.02 g; ointment 0.5%; rectal and vaginal suppositories, 0.05 g each (for adults); suppositories 0.03 g (for children). Repeated courses of treatment are advisable.
In conditions of immunosuppressive therapy, in postoperative patients, in risk groups, etc., it is advisable to use hyporamin to prevent the development of viral complications. In this case, for the prevention of herpesvirus diseases and CMV infection, hyporamin is used in the form of sublingual tablets of 0.02 g 3 times a day and/or suppositories per rectum 2 times a day, for 5-7 days.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION Hyporamine is a dry purified extract from the leaves of sea buckthorn, which is a polyphenolic complex of galloellagitannins, the biologically active components of which are hydrolyzable tannins, which have common structural elements in the form of glucose-galloyl and hexahydroxy-phenoyl residues. Hyporamine has pronounced antiviral activity against various strains of influenza A and B viruses, adenoviruses, paramyxoviruses, herpes simplex viruses, herpes zoster, cytomegaloviruses, respiratory syncytial virus, human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV infection). The mechanism of action of Giporamin is based on the inhibitory effect on viral neuraminidase. The inhibitory effect of Hyporamine on viral reproduction manifests itself in the early stages of their development. Hyporamine induces the production of interferon in blood cells in in vitro experiments and increases the content of interferon in the blood of patients. In in vitro experiments, the drug also has a moderate antimicrobial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, tuberculous mycobacteria, candida, and some filamentous fungi. Hyporamine is low toxic. It does not have allergenic, mutagenic, teratogenic or carcinogenic properties, and does not affect the immune status of the body.
