Debridat description and instructions for use of the drug.

Description

Debridat suspension (DEBRIDAT) is a modern drug that has the property of regulating intestinal motility. It relieves spasms of smooth muscles and works exactly as needed in each specific case: for constipation, it has a relaxing effect, and for weak motor skills, on the contrary, it stimulates peristalsis.

Debridet suspension is used for functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as in preparation for endoscopic examinations and operations.

Italian pharmacists produce Debridat in powder form for the preparation of a suspension, since the finished suspension has a very short shelf life. This dosage form of the drug has proven itself well because it is easy to use and allows you to accurately dose the drug in the right quantities for both children of any age (starting from infancy) and adults; Its orange flavor will appeal to kids who will happily take the medicine.

To obtain a suspension, add water to the powder until a volume of 250 ml is obtained (a special mark is indicated on the bottle) and shake thoroughly. After adding water, store the prepared suspension in the refrigerator for no more than 3 weeks.

Active substance: trimebutine 72 mg/15 ml (1 tablespoon).

Additional substances: sodium methyl benzoate, orange flavor, sucrose.

Pharmacodynamics

Debridate, acting on the enkephalinergic system of the intestine, is a regulator of its peristalsis. Having an affinity for excitation and inhibition receptors, it has a stimulating effect in hypokinetic conditions of intestinal smooth muscles and an antispasmodic effect in hyperkinetic conditions. The drug acts throughout the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), reduces the pressure of the esophageal sphincter, promotes gastric emptying and increased intestinal motility, and also promotes the response of the smooth muscles of the colon to food irritants. Debridet restores the normal physiological activity of the intestinal muscles in various gastrointestinal diseases associated with motility disorders.

Pharmacokinetics

Suction. After oral administration, the highest concentration of trimebutine in the blood plasma is achieved after 1-2 hours. Elimination. Trimebutine is rapidly excreted in the urine - approximately 70% during the first 24 hours.

Application

Therapy of polymorphic symptoms of gastroenterological diseases related to irritable bowel syndrome, a functional gastrointestinal disease, manifested, in particular, by pain and colic in the abdominal cavity, intestinal spasms, flatulence, diarrhea and/or constipation.

Dosage regimen

Tablets are prescribed for adults: 1-2 tablets (100-200 mg) 3 times a day. The oral suspension is prescribed to children under 6 months of age - 1/2 teaspoon 2-3 times a day; from 6 months to 1 year - 1 teaspoon 2 times a day; from 1 year to 5 years - 1 teaspoon 3 times a day; over 5 years - 2 teaspoons 3 times a day.
