Composition of Teymurov's paste

As indicated in the instructions for use of Teymurov’s paste, it includes:

  • boric acid - 7 g (an antiseptic that does not irritate in the presence of wounds),
  • sodium tetraborate – 7 g (has disinfectant and preservative properties),
  • salicylic acid - 1.4 g (has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, is widely used in medicine and is included in many other ointments, powders and pastes),
  • zinc oxide - 25 g (has anti-inflammatory, drying, adsorbing, astringent and antiseptic effects, is widely used in the production of abrasive toothpastes and cements in therapeutic dentistry, in suntan creams and in cosmetic procedures, etc.),
  • hexamethylenetetramine - 3.5 g (has an antiseptic effect),
  • formaldehyde solution - 3.5 g (has a pronounced antimicrobial effect and is also a good deodorizing agent),
  • lead acetate - 0.3 g (has anti-inflammatory and astringent properties, it is worth noting that the substance is highly toxic, so it has practically ceased to be used both in medicine and in cosmetology),
  • talc - 25 g (this substance is the main component of baby powders, it is used in the production of many dietary supplements and medicines as a source of magnesium and silicon),
  • glycerin - 12 g (has the properties of maintaining and increasing the degree of viscosity, is widely used in the field of medicine and cosmetology, is part of some toothpastes and mouth rinses),
  • mint oil - 0.3 g (has a cooling, vasoconstrictor effect),
  • distilled water - 12 g,
  • emulsifier - 3 g.

The complex composition of Teymurov's paste is determined by the indications for its use.

The drug is available in tubes or jars of 30 and 50 grams.

Peculiarities

Teymur paste is intended exclusively for external use. The ointment is white in color with a light menthol aroma and has a uniform consistency. It is packaged in aluminum tubes of various sizes. The active ingredients and additional components are given in full in the instructions for use.

Pronounced antiseptic properties are ensured by the presence of boric acid in the ointment. In addition, the substance can dry out existing skin irritations. Other components have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.

Indications for use of Teymurov's paste

The main areas of application of Teymurov's paste are the fight against diaper rash on the skin and hyperhidrosis of the feet and armpits.

Teymurov's paste for sweat

Increased sweating of the body and hyperhidrosis of the legs are quite common disorders that cause significant personal and social discomfort and affect the emotional state of a person. In addition to deteriorating a person’s quality of life, excessive sweating also brings a lot of material costs; such a disorder promotes the growth of bacteria in shoes, which causes a persistent and unpleasant odor and renders them unusable.

Attempts at a cosmetic solution to the problem, the use of deodorants and other masking agents do not relieve a person of the disorder and give only temporary results.

Why do our feet sweat and smell bad? As you know, sweating is a normal physiological process inherent in every healthy person. Sweat itself has no odor, but the skin of the feet is a natural habitat and breeding ground for many different types of bacteria that feed on human sweat and dead skin cells. It is the waste products of this huge number of bacteria that determine the appearance of persistent unpleasant foot odor, which is sometimes impossible to get rid of even after careful hygiene procedures.

As bacteria process dead skin cells, they produce chemicals with a pungent, unpleasant odor, such as butanedione, which is also present in Roquefort cheeses and is responsible for their strong odor.

The situation with foot odor can be complicated by diseases that have arisen in parallel, for example, fungus of the skin of the feet and/or nails adds a note of “rottenness” to the already unpleasant aroma.

The following may be responsible for unpleasant foot odor:

  • incorrectly selected shoes (tight, wrong size);
  • diseases, such as disorders of the cardiovascular system, diabetes, hormonal imbalances;
  • diet, such as frequent and excessive consumption of certain spices, onions, garlic and pepper (they give the smell to sweat);
  • failure to comply with personal hygiene rules.

An effective way to combat leg hyperhidrosis is the use of Teymurov's paste. Thanks to its composition, it controls the growth of bacteria, dries the skin, thereby reducing the amount of sweat produced, protects against the development of fungus, reduces areas of diaper rash, and neutralizes the suffocating and unpleasant odor.

The popularity of this drug is due to its ease of use, effectiveness, and low price.

However, before starting treatment, you should seek advice from a qualified specialist, since the drug has a number of contraindications and side effects, which we will discuss below.

Teymurov's paste for armpits

Another area of application for Teymurov’s paste is increased sweating in the armpit area. This drug is approved by the Ministry of Health of our country and is prescribed as an antimicrobial, deodorizing and drying agent for hyperhidrosis and diaper rash.

The causes of sweating and unpleasant odor in the armpit area are no different from the causes of sweating feet described above. And accordingly, the effect and effectiveness of using Teymurov’s paste in this case is just as high and justified. The ointment helps to significantly reduce the amount of sweat produced, and control of bacteriogenesis neutralizes the suffocating odor.

The course of treatment for the armpit area is several weeks, depending on the severity of the problem. Since the drug is white in color and the consistency resembles toothpaste, it should be used exclusively at home. After hygiene procedures, the paste is applied for 10-15 minutes, after the period has expired, it is washed off, and a moisturizer is applied to the area of application.

The skin of the armpits is much more delicate than the skin of the legs, so when using Teymurov’s paste in this area, you should carefully monitor the condition of the skin and avoid the occurrence of any disorders, such as an allergic reaction.

Women need to remember that Temurov's paste is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Teymurov's paste for fungus and acne

It is also worth noting that very often the drug is used to treat mycoses (fungus) of the feet and even to combat the manifestations of teenage acne. However, the advisability of using the drug in these cases has not proven its effectiveness; moreover, with acne, there is a high risk of exacerbation of the problem and an increase in areas of inflammation on the facial skin.

If you have made an attempt to get rid of a cosmetic problem caused by acne using Teymurov's paste, and you see irritation, you urgently need to remove all remnants of the drug with a large amount of warm water.

Directions for use and doses

The method of using Teymurov's paste is determined by its indications. The paste is applied to the skin in a thin layer for 10-15 minutes, 3-4 times a day for the skin of the legs and 2-3 times a day in the armpit area. The course of treatment ranges from three days to several weeks, depending on the severity of the problem. Before use, the skin area should be thoroughly washed and dried.

It is not recommended to use Teymurov's paste:

  • on large areas of skin,
  • on the scalp,
  • in the presence of allergic reactions,
  • for inflammatory skin diseases.

If the drug gets into your eyes, you must carefully, avoiding further penetration, remove the paste from your eye with a cotton swab and thoroughly rinse the contact area with a large amount of warm water.

Before using Teymurov's paste, it would not hurt to consult a doctor, but if due to objective reasons this is not possible, the medicine can be used independently, following the instructions.

A complete cure for the problems of sweating and persistent odor is not guaranteed, but the paste helps to significantly reduce the manifestation of unpleasant symptoms. Once treatment is complete, most people can safely return to regular deodorizing products such as perfume and antiperspirant.

If there is no visible result, you need to seek help from a dermatologist who will select alternative, more effective treatment methods.

Methods of application

Teymur's paste, which can be purchased at an affordable price, is a potent medicinal product. If used incorrectly, there are risks of certain complications. Therefore, before using the ointment, it is necessary to check the body’s reactions.

To do this, apply a small amount of the product to the skin in the wrist area. If irritation appears within 10 minutes, you should stop using Teimur paste.

Treatment of foot hyperhidrosis with Teimur paste involves a simple procedure before bedtime. Before using the product, wash your feet thoroughly with warm water and soap and dry the skin well with a soft cloth. Teymurov ointment for feet is applied to the skin of the feet for approximately 15 minutes. Any remaining paste that has not been absorbed into the skin should be removed with a paper towel.

In case of increased sweating of the muscle cavities, the ointment is applied in a thin layer after hygiene procedures. The product should be left on for 30-60 minutes. After this, the remaining paste should be removed with a cloth soaked in warm water. This is necessary in order to prevent the appearance of unsightly stains on clothes.

The first positive results when using the ointment appear after 4 days. The maximum duration of treatment is a month. If you continue to use the product without interruption, there is a risk of developing addiction and unpleasant side effects. The course can be repeated after a month's break.

Contraindications of Teymurov's paste

Despite the large number of components included in Teymurov’s paste, there are not many contraindications to its use.

And the price-quality ratio has made the drug very popular among various segments of the population. The specificity of the indications for use does not make the drug mandatory for a home medicine cabinet, but it can be seen in almost every home.

The popularity of Teymurov's paste sometimes leads to a very negligent attitude towards its use; patients often do not check the risks associated with treatment, although the instructions for Teymurov's paste contain a number of contraindications.

Contraindications for the use of the drug are:

  • pregnancy,
  • breastfeeding,
  • chronic kidney diseases,
  • acute inflammatory skin diseases,
  • sensitivity to the components of the drug,
  • high risk of allergic reactions
  • age up to 14 years.

Side effects

Teymurov ointment, like any other drug, has a number of disadvantages and side effects. As described above, the drug contains formaldehyde and lead acetate; these substances are toxic and can adversely affect human health and well-being. It is also worth noting that in some European countries Teymurov’s paste is prohibited for use.

In medical practice, cases have been established where the use of the paste led to dermatitis (due to the drying effect), allergic reactions and skin irritations.

Also, with long-term use of the paste and/or overdose in people with impaired renal function, toxic reactions may occur, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (diarrhea), skin rashes, headache, exfoliation of the epithelium, etc.

Cost of Teymurov paste

You can purchase Teymurov's paste in retail pharmacies; the drug is over-the-counter, so its purchase does not require a prior visit to the doctor. However, keeping in mind the possible side effects and contraindications for use, you should consult a doctor before starting treatment.

If you are not sure that you are not allergic to the components included in the drug, you should definitely visit a doctor and make sure that treatment with Teymurov’s paste is safe.

The price of the drug is low and amounts to 15–19 hryvnia in pharmacies in Ukraine, and 40–57 rubles in Russia.

The drug should be stored at a temperature of 8-15 °C, protected from light and out of reach of children; the shelf life is 18 months.
